The Lutheran Music Program is calling Luther's campus home for the next few weeks while it conducts its 35th year of summer programming. Both the Lutheran Summer Music academy and the Sounds of Summer Institute Concert & Recital Series are being held on campus through July.
There are currently 60 high school students on campus as part of the 4-week long academy which focuses on students' pursuits in band, choir, orchestra, composition and organ, according to Administrative and Communications Assistant Molly Maillette.
These students spend their days practicing in large group ensembles as well as private lessons with instructors.
There will also be a free Concert & Recital Series as part of the program. There will be performances by professionals, Luther faculty and student ensembles alike. A full schedule of the performances can be found at lutheranmusicprogram.org/calendar
