Decorah Police have ticketed 24-year-old Chase Christopher of Decorah following a two-vehicle collision at River Street and Water Street shortly after 7:00 Monday morning.

Police say Christopher was eastbound on Water Street and went through the red light at the intersection with River Street, striking a van driven by 53-year-old Martha Keiger-Grisheimer of Decorah.

The Decorah Fire Department was called out to make sure the van did not catch on fire and to soak up some fluids that had leaked from the van.

Neither of the two drivers needed medical care.

Christopher was ticketed for failing to obey a stoplight.  The accident did a total of $7,000 in damages.
