Decorah Police handle an accident and make two arrests over the weekend

Decorah Police were called to Pulpit Rock Road on Friday night around 10:45.  20-year-old Corrina Voigt of Decorah struck a deer, causing $3,000 in damages to her vehicle.  She was not injured.

Saturday afternoon around 1:30 an officer stopped Joel Muj of Decorah for running a red light, then saw signs of impairment and arrested Muj and charged him with Second Offense Operating While Intoxicated, as well as Driving With a Suspended License.

Sunday afternoon around 2:15 an officer stopped 21-year-old Daniel Gomez of Decorah for speeding, then saw signs of impairment and arrested Gomez on a charge of First Offense Operating While Intoxicated, as well as speeding.
