Winner of swimming pool painting raffle named

The Decorah Parks and Recreation Department has named a Decorah woman as the winner of a painting raffle that helped to raise funds for additional murals at the Municipal Swimming Pool.

Deb Orvis has won the 18-inch by 24-inch oil painting, titled "Legs."

The painting is the work of Jennifer Jones of Decorah, who has already completed two murals at the pool and is hoping to create two more murals.  One will be situated on an exterior pool side wall outside of the guard room featuring underwater views of  lifeguards in action.  The other will be painted on panels and situated in the entry area of the pool directly behind the cashier
