Construction has begun on Topping Goliath's new brewery

Crews from Skyline Construction began working Thursday on the site of the new Toppling Goliath brewery.

The property in the Decorah Business Park will house a 52,000 square foot building.  There will be more than 26,000 square feet of space devoted to brewing beer, another almost 11,000 square feet for warehousing and a 9,000 square foot tap room.

The new brewery will be located off Prosperity Road in the Decorah Business Park.  It will replace the company's current location off Old Stage Road, near Freeport.
