Finances remain strong at Winneshiek Medical Center

Winneshiek Medical Center had a net gain for April of $340,794 and a 10-month gain of $3.3 million.

The latest financial figures for the hospital show its financial performance remains strong.  Its year-to-date Operatig Gain is $2,763,916, which is 34 percent higher than it had budgeted and 42 percent higher than last year's comparable figure.

Hospital officials say the strong financial performance will allow it to pay for capital expenses starting July 1st, including a cost of $2.5 million for electronic medical record software.
