The National Rural Health Association has selected Winneshiek Medical Center as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in the country.
There are over 1,300 hospitals in the United States that are classified as "Critical Access Hospitals." The organization iVantage reviewed all of those hospitals and selected its Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals, naming WMC to the list.
The National Rural Health Association has taken those 100 hospitals honored by iVantage and has ranked all of them on inpatient market share, outpatient market share, cost, charges, quality, outcomes, population risk, patient perspectives and financial stability.
"Our results as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital means the region can count on us to deliver the services they need now and in the future, " said Winneshiek Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Lisa Radtke.
