Amended county budget wins approval

Winneshiek County supervisors have unanimously approved an adjusted 2015-2016 county budget.

The changes include money spent on fixing the roof of the county jail; money spent on additional court security for the Alex Fazzino trial and money spent on the Frankville water project.

But the $2,957,093 in additional expenses will be offset by $2,976,877 in additional revenues--meaning the adjusted 2015-2016 county budget will actually improve by around $20,000.
