Effort at NICC will send 23 pallets of water bottles to Flint, Michigan

23 pallets of bottled water will be heading to the people of Flint, Michigan because of a campaign called "Just Add Water II" among staff members at the NICC Peosta and Calmar campuses.

The NICC drive filled 13 pallets of water and raised $1,800 in cash donations, which will be used to purchase an additional 10 pallets of water.

The shipment will be delivered to Flint with fuel costs paid courtesy of a Dubuque non-profit group, "Resources Unite."

NICC director of Student Life, Diversity and Leadership Kara Popp and NICC assistant director of Student Life, Diversity and Leadership Troy Vande Lune reported on the results of the campaign.
