Decorah High School FFA receives the American Cancer Society Regional Youth Leadership in Action Award

The American Cancer Society has presented the Decorah High School FFA chapter with the Regional Youth Leadership in Action Award.

Cancer Society representative Sarah Foster says, "The FFA chapter has supported Relay For Life of Winneshiek County for many years."

The Decorah FFA supports the Relay For Life financially and with volunteer hours.  The group has hosted fun, family-friendly activities at the Relay.  Adds Foster, "They're some of the first to arrive and the last to leave."

This year's Winneshiek County Relay for Life will be held in front of the Winneshiek County Courthouse from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18th.  In addition to including the Relay walk, the event will have live music and a display of classic motorcycles.
