Voters will go to the polls in less than one month--on June 7th--to determine the outcome of several contested races.

The Winneshiek County Republican Party has just announced it is planning to sponsor two programs involving local candidates.

The Supervisor District Four Debate between John Logsdon and Devin Humpal will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18th, at the Ossian Community Center at 123 West Main Street in Ossian.  Supervisor District Four comprises the townships of Calmar, Springfield, Military and Bloomfield (including the cities of Spillville, Calmar, Ossian and Castalia)

The Iowa House District 55Debate between Alex Popenhagen and Michael Bergan will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26th, at the Elks Lodge at 402 West Main Street in Decorah.  A social hour will precede the program at 6:30 p.m.

The Winneshiek County Republican Party is in the process of setting up a third program involving Republican candidates for Supervisor District Three, with dates being discussed in the beginning of June.
