North Winneshiek School Board approves half-time contract with Carrie Lee Elementary Principal Cheryl Miller

The North Winneshiek School Board Monday evening discussed an agreement with the Decorah School District for sharing a principal half time for the 2016-2017 school year.  Formal action will take place at the June school board meeting, but board members are discussing hiring Cheryl Miller, who is currently the principal at the Carrie Lee School, to be a half-time principal at North Winneshiek and half-time at Carrie Lee for the 2016-2017 school year.        

The school board also approved a teacher librarian sharing agreement with the MFL Mar-Mac School District.  North Winneshiek will purchase time for consulting services for the 2016-2017 school year.

Also, board members approved a 3.28 percent salary increase for support staff for next school year.  The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates, and a nurse.  The percent increase is the same as what the teachers received.
