Luther College sophomore Iloria Phoenix of Pella has been awarded the "Positively Luther" Award for the 2015-16 academic year.
The Kuh Family "Positively Luther" Award is a $5,000 award that is given each year to a student whose character, leadership, and participation in co-curricular and other educationally purposeful activities enhance the quality of campus life.
Phoenix wrote in her application of possible efforts at the college to provide classroom and work environments that foster opportunities for students to thrive at Luther. She is majoring in music and psychology, is an outreach assistant with the Diversity Center, works in Peace Dining and Catering, became a research assistant with the Psychology Department in January, is in Cathedral Choir and is a member of the Beta Theta Omega Women's Organization and the Psychology Club.
