The Decorah City Council has approved bids on several projects at the Decorah Airport.

Wicks Construction of Decorah has been awarded a $465,954 bid on construction of a seven stall hangar on the west end of the airport.  When engineering, administration and other project costs are added, the project will cost a total of $550,000, with the State of Iowa through the FAA paying $495,000 of the cost and the City of Decorah paying $55,000.

Wicks Construction was also awarded a bid of $68,326,26 for a project that will improve fencing and driveways at the airport.  The State of Iowa will pay $75,842.32 of the project, with the City of Decorah paying $13,383.94.

Finally, the city council approved a proposal from the city's Airport Commission that will increase rental prices on some of the hangars at the airport.  Several old hangars have been torn down, so rentals of hangars at the airport will now range from $75 per month to $150 per month, depending on the hangar.
