Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum is inviting artists working in Norwegian folk art to enter their pieces in the museum's annual "National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition."
This exhibition includes original woodworking, knifemaking, rosemaling and weaving by contemporary American artists working in the Norwegian tradition.
Entries will be accepted through Sunday, May 22nd. The exhibition will be on view in the museum's Main Building from June 9th through July 30th, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day.
This is the 50th anniversary of Vesterheim's Folk Art School and the exhibition that it inspired. The exhibition judging and ribbon awards are held in conjunction with Decorah's Annual Nordic Fest, which is July 28th, 29th and 30th.
