Iowa Afterschool Alliance to present an award to ArtHaus Thursday

The Iowa Afterschool Alliance at noon Thursday will present the 2016 Afterschool Innovator Award to ArtHaus at a luncheon in Des Moines.

The Afterschool Innovator Award recognizes programs that have implemented innovative practices to support children, youth, and families in Iowa communities through out-of-school time.

Several nominations identified ArtHaus as an innovator in after school programs, specifying the creativity of programming, the variety of after school programming options available, and the quality of instructors.
