NBC "Dateline" scheduled to air program Friday about Fazzino murder trial

NBC News officials tell decorahnews.com that "Dateline NBC" is tentatively scheduled to air a program about the Alex Fazzino murder trial at 9:00 p.m. this Friday.

An NBC News crew attended the murder trial in Decorah in late February and early March. 

The body of Fazzino's wife, Emily, was found in the bathtub of the family's home in Boone on January 29th, 2012.  Police originally ruled the death a suicide, but Fazzino was arrested on first degree murder charges in April of 2013.  The trial was moved to Winneshiek County on a change of venue because of pretrial publicity in Boone.

A jury of nine men and six women from Winneshiek County (three serving as alternates) heard testimony in the case and returned a "not guilty" verdict.
