Decorah Police say 65-year-old Marilyn Sabelka of Decorah began having trouble with her SUV as she was heading west on Highway 9 Wednesday evening around 5:00. She pulled over to the side of the road as her engine began to stall. She got the vehicle running again and drove back onto the highway--but the vehicle started stalling again.
Police say that's when Sabelka decided to pull into the parking lot of a car dealership--by making an improper left turn from the far right lane.
Her car was struck by a car driven by 20-year-old Dylan Stoddard-Henning of Decorah, causing a total of $6,500 in damages.
Sabelka was taken by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries.
