Hard on the heels of praise from the website niche.com, Decorah High School is also getting some praise from the Washington Post.

The news organization has just released its list of "America's most-challenging high schools."  The rankings are engineered around the Challenge Index, which takes into account a number of factors, such as the total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge Tests given each year, and the number of graduating seniors.

Six Iowa high schools made the list--Cedar Rapids Washington, Des Moines Roosevelt, Cedar Rapids John F. Kennedy, Ames High School, Iowa City's City High and Decorah High School--the only smaller high school in Iowa to make the list.
