Decorah organizations receive grants

Four Decorah organizations have received grants from the Northeast Iowa RC&D Employee Giving Fund.

The Employee Giving Fund is supported by contributions from the Northeast RC&D Board of Directors, Northeast Iowa RC&D staff, and private donations.  It offers funding for projects that benefit youth between preschool and 12th grade within the seven-county region served by Northeast Iowa RC&D.

11 projects received grants totaling over $4,000. They included Helping Services for Northeast Iowa's "Exploring the Arts!" program; New Minowa Players' children's show; the 2016 Oneota Film Festival Teen Documentary program; and Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau's "Kids are Tourists, Too!" program.
