In hindsight, there probably were better places for 18-year-old Joseph Schiller of Fertile, Iowa to go after he allegedly had been drinking. Certainly the Decorah Law Enforcement Center was not the best choice.
Decorah Police say Schiller "wandered into" the dispatch center and police office around 2:30 Saturday morning, sat in a chair, tried to stand up and instead vomited on the glass door of the center.
Because Schiller was under the legal drinking age and because of his level of intoxication, he was arrested on a charge of Public Intoxication. Police say Schiller told them he had not realized he had entered the police station.
