Decorah Municipal Band is forming

A new "Decorah Municipal Band" will be performing this summer.

The new musical group will give a concert at Lawn Chair Night at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7th, in front of the Winneshiek County Courthouse.

The band will be under the direction of Jim Fritz and Merlyn Finley.  Organizers are currently seeking adult musicians of all abilities and backgrounds with a passion for performing and sharing music with their community.

Rehearsals will be held at the Decorah High School band room on Tuesdays, June 28th and July 5th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
