Posted: Tue, Apr 5, 2016 10:26 AM

The Winneshiek County's Convention & Visitors Bureau is taking submissions for a new coloring book which is aimed at promoting tourism in the Decorah area.

Children ages 2-17 are encouraged to submit outline drawings that can be used for the book. There will be a ten dollar cash prize for winning submissions.

Contestants are encouraged to draw about their favorite things in Winneshiek County, which could include restaurants, festivals/events, animals, or anything else fun.

The outlines must be drawn (with black ink or dark pencil) on a vertical 8.5" X 11" sheet of white paper.

Executive Director Charlene Selbee hopes that this venture will not only help the current tourism market in Decorah but also the future market. The WCCVB hopes to continue producing this coloring book annually.

Submissions may be hand delivered to the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau at the Visitor Center in downtown Decorah, through the mail, or through email to info@visitdecorah.com.

Deadline for submission is Monday, April 25 by 4:45 P.M. For questions, call the WCCVB at (563)-382-2023.
