Winneshiek Medical Center is accepting two of three Iowa Medicaid MCOs

Winneshiek Medical Center and Mayo Clinic Health System clinics in Decorah, Ossian and Mabel have signed contracts with two of the three Managed Care Organizations that will now be supervising Iowa's Medicaid program.

Winneshiek Medical Center has signed contracts with AmeriHealth Caritas Iowa and UnitedHealthCare Plan of the River Valley.  

Winneshiek Medical Center Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff is encouraging Medicaid patients who would like to continue their care at WMC and with their Mayo Clinic Health System providers in Decorah, Ossian and Mabel to sign up with either AmeriHealth Caritas or UnitedHealthCare Plan.  Luloff says Winneshiek Medical Center will continue to provide care for all patients in emergency situations, regardless of their insurance coverage.
