Gundersen Health Systems says it will accept Iowa Medicaid patients

Gundersen Health System says it is ready to care for patients covered by Iowa's new Medicaid managed care program.

Gundersen has signed contracts with the three MCOs approved by the state--Amerigroup Iowa, Inc., AmeriHealth Caritas Iowa, Inc. and UnitedHealthcare Plan of the River Valley, Inc.

Iowa's new Medicaid system will go into effecf on Friday.  Medicaid members will have until June 16th to change MCOs for any reason, and after that date with exceptions.
