ArtHaus has been awarded a $3,000 matching grant from the Waterloo-based R.J. McElroy Trust in support of its third year of the Youth Apprenticeship Program.

In order to raise the matching funds, ArtHaus has launched a crowdfunding campaign at www.depositagift.com.

Students ages 13 to 18 are eligible to take part in the Youth Apprenticeship Program.  The students have designed and created of an indoor mural at Aase Haugen Senior Center, an outdoor mural at Montessori School and 18 plush animals that were then gifted to sick children at the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in LaCrosse.  The program has also included field trips to Agora Arts, Perfect Edge, Luther College Center for the Arts, Walker Arts Center and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
