ArtHaus to be presented with an award for children's programming

The Iowa Afterschool Alliance will present Decorah's ArtHaus with the "Afterschool Champion Award" next month for ArtHaus' afterschool programming.

The award recognizes programs that have implemented innovative practices to support children, youth and families in Iowa communities.

An Alliance spokesperson says ArtHaus was selected for the award because of the creativity of its programming, the variety of its afterschool programming options and the quality of its instructors.
