Carrie Lee students donate money to HSNEI

Carrie Lee Elementary students have donated $1,168.22 to the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa.

Students raised the money through a school-wide "Penny War."  Mrs. Clausen's third grade class raised the most money.  Mrs. Panos's class won the penny war.  Both classes visited the center to tour the facility and spend time reading to the animals.

The service project was an activity of the "Positive Behavior and Instructional Supports" program at Carrie Lee.
