Julie Kramer grew up along the Minnesota-Iowa state line, the fourth generation of a family who raised cattle and farmed corn for 130 years. An avid reader, she tired of fictional TV reporters always being portrayed as obnoxious secondary characters who could be killed off whenever the plot started dragging, so when she started writing books after a career as a TV reporter, her stories feature capable news reporters.
Decorah Public Library staff members will lead a discussion April 13th of Kramer's newest book, "Shunning Sarah." The book is now available for checkout at the front desk of the library. Kramer's latest book tells the story of a murder in a small Minnesota Amish community.
Kramer will be the featured speaker at the Friends of Decorah Public Library annual meeting April 25th.
