The Decorah Community School Board dealt with many issues Monday night as they:
• Approved purchase of two buses, via state bidding that saved money and the work of local bids. The district typically purchases two per year. Buses are about $89,500 each, minus trade in allowance.
• Authorized bidding for resurfacing of the track and purchase of a new scoreboard. The approximately $400,000 project could be supported by $100,000 via the Decorah Athletic Boosters.
• Renewed a three year bus barn lease contract with Bruening Rock Products. The first year rate would be $3,850 per month, and $4,000 per month for the last two years.
• Approved a 2016-17 audit bid with Hacker and Nelson for $28,600.
• Eliminated a curriculum director position that had been shared with Waukon.
