A Winneshiek County jury of eight men and four women will resume its deliberations at 8:00 Wednesday morning in the first degree murder trial of Alex Fazzino of Boone.
Fazzino is accused in the death of his wife, Emily, on January 29th, 2012, in their home in Boone.
Final arguments in the case were presented Tuesday morning before Circuit Judge Michael Moon. The trial had been moved to Decorah because of pretrial publicity in Boone.
The judge gave jurors five options of verdicts--guilty of first degree murder, second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter or innocent of all charges.
Jurors discussed the issues in the case for three and a half hours Tuesday afternoon, then left for the evening. They will resume deliberations Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
