Man smooches pooch! Class raises loot!

Students at North Winneshiek School have raised almost $250 for the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa, HSNEI.

Fourth grade teacher Matt Amundson led the fund drive.  Students in his class created "Pennies for Paws!" buckets with the names of various North Winneshiek staff members.  Students and staff contributed money for four weeks and the teacher with the most moneyin their jar was "rewarded" with a "smooch" from Jaeger, a one-year-old dog awaiting adoption from HSNEI. 

The students raised$242.40 and were also rewarded by watching Matt Amundson receive a smooch from Jaeger.
