NICC wins statewide award

The Iowa Association of Community College Trustees has presented the 2016 Outstanding Equity/Diversity Award to Northeast Iowa Community College.

The award is presented to a community college in Iowa that shows evidence of leadership in setting policies, championing an environment of inclusiveness and in assuring results for the enhancement and expansion of opportunities for minorities and women.

NICC's nomination highlighted three programs:  Opportunity Career Pathway Certificates Program (Dubuque, Cresco, Manchester and Oelwein); Re-engage Dubuque and Oelwein; and The Success Model.
