NICC Board approves plans for John Deere Center at Calmar

The Board of Trustees of NICC has approved the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of costs for the John Deere Ag Technology Building Renovation Project.

Upgrades this year will include classroom and lab area remodeling, a redesign of a computer lab classroom, renovations to the building's entrance, electrical updates and other critical improvements to the facility's exterior, HVAC system and roof.  NICC anticipates the project will begin in April and conclude in October. State of Iowa Accelerated Careers in Education (ACE) funding will support the construction project.  The renovations to the building are estimated to cost around $1.2 million.
