Decorah Police respond to three traffic accidents

Decorah Police have handled three traffic accidents recently.

At 5:45 p.m. Friday 26-year-old Amber Snow of Calmar reported to police that she fell asleep while driving down West Main Street.  Snow crashed into two parked cars, causing a total of $5,500 in damages.  She was ticketed for Failure to Maintain Control and Driving on a Suspended License.

Earlier Friday, a car parked in the Luther College library lot was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing $1,500 in damages.  The driver of the hit and run vehicle did not leave any information.

Finally, Decorah Police say an accident Wednesday morning around 9:30 on West Main Street and River Street happened when 78-year-old Carolyn Solberg pulled into the intersection without noticing a car driven by 74-year-old Barb Dale of Decorah.  The crash did $4,500 in damages.  Neither driver was injured.  Solberg was ticketed for Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way from a Stop Sign.
