NEIBH signs contracts with the three companies handling Iowa's privatized Medicaid system

Northeast Iowa Behavioral Health has announced that it has contracted with the three managed care companies chosen to bring privatization of the state Medicaid program to Iowa.

A statement by NEIBH says, "While glitches may occur during this massive transition of care in Iowa, NEIBH believes by signing with AmeriHealth Caritas, Amerigroup and United Health Care that barriers to mental health, substance abuse and integrated health homes services are reduced for NEIBH clients."

The Medicaid contracts cover services provided by NEIBH at its offices in Decorah, West Union, Oelwein, Cresco, Waukon, Elkader and Guttenberg.
