NICC this week is hosting a statewide convention

The Iowa Association of Community College Trustees is holding its 2016 convention in Des Moines on Monday and Tuesday.  But despite the meeting's location, it is Northeast Iowa Community College which is the host for the event, which brings together community college officials from throughout Iowa.

NICC Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Ken Reimer will give the opening message at 8:00 a.m. Monday.  Another NICC Trustee, Larry Hoekstra,
will speak about "A Manufacturing Career Pathway for 21st Century Learners" at 1:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Northeast Iowa Community College Vice President Dr. Wendy Mihm-Herold will discuss "Driving Student Success with EMSI Analyst and Career Coach" and Northeast Iowa Community College Executive Director of Finance Tom Ridout will speak about financial forecasting. 

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad will speak to the convention at lunchtime Tuesday and NICC President Dr. Liang Chee Wee and NICC Board Chair Dr. Ken Reimer will wrap up the convention by giving closing remarks.
