A non-profit initiative promoting career opportunities in manufacturing, Elevate Advanced Manufacturing, is offering a $500 scholarship to an Iowa high school senior interested in studying a manufacturing-related career at Northeast Iowa Community College.
NICC advanced manufacturing programs to which the scholarship can apply include Welding, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist Technician, Gas Utility Construction and Service, Heating and Air Conditioning, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Specialist and a variety of others.
Interested candidates should apply by completing the application found at www.elevateiowa.com (click on "About"). Applications are due April 1st.
Meanwhile, the Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary is reminding anyone interested in pursuing a health care profession that they must apply for the organization's scholarships by March 18th.
