Traffic accident causes $5,600 in damages

Decorah Police say a two-vehicle traffic accident Friday morning around 9:00 was caused when a truck backed up as a van was driving down Broadway Street.

56-year-old Cheryl Kruizenga of Cumberland, Wisconsin did not see the truck being driven by 57-year-old Christine Dempewolf of Dubuque.  The two vehicles collided, causing a total of $5,600 in damages.  Neither driver was injured.  Kruizenga was not ticketed.
