A Twitter session held late last week involving the Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Midwest travel writers has already begun paying dividends, says WCCVB Executive Director Charlene Selbee.
51 participants—travel writers and a few other writers--took part in the one-hour on-line session, with over 500 tweets posted during that time.
Selbee says one travel writer has already made plans to visit Decorah next week. The Tweets were posted and reposted, with almost 200,000 accounts reached.
Selbee says she's begun studying the topics the travel writers were most interested in, which will help WCCVB make sure its promotional literature is tailored to the right audiences.
