ArtHaus is seeking submissions for its "Emerging Artists" exhibition

ArtHaus in Decorah is seeking artwork entries from artists ages 18 to 25 for the 2016 Emerging Artists Exhibition, which will run from April 1st through May 13th.

The exhibit is open to residents and students of the Driftless region of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota and southwest Wisconsin living within 150 mile radius of Decorah.  The deadline for submission is Friday, March 11th.
            
Applicants interested in this juried show are asked to submit artworks completed within the last two years.  Each applicant may submit up to three artworks.  All forms of media are welcome including but not limited to painting, drawing, ceramic, fiber arts, jewelry, printmaking, and photography. Video work will also be considered; necessary viewing equipment must be supplied by the applicant.

Interested applicants must send digital images with an application form, brief artist statement, and entry fee of $20 by March 11th to ArtHaus 508 W. Water Street, Decorah, IA 52101. Instructions for submitted materials electronically are outlined at http://arthausdecorah.org/emerging-artists-exhibition/. Artists will be notified by Friday, March 18th if their work has been selected.  Works must be delivered by Wednesday, March 30th.
            
Awards will be chosen by the jurors with a Best of Show receiving a $200 cash prize and a solo exhibition at ArtHaus in 2017.  Runner-up will receive a $100 cash prize, and two Honorable Mention Awards will be named.
