The Iowa Watercolor Society Annual Traveling Show will be on display at Luther College's Center for Faith and Life starting Friday and running through the end of March. The exhibit is open to the public with no charge for admission. This year's show features 27 paintings, the finalists chosen from sixty juried paintings, which in turn were chosen from over 140 total entries. The exhibit includes the top five Awards of Excellence, eight Honorable Mentions and the painting chosen as Best Translucent Watercolor.
Organized in 1977 by a group of devoted artists that loved watercolor painting, the Iowa Watercolor Society is an organization made up of amateur and professional artists. The only requirement for membership is an interest in watercolor painting.
