City of Decorah is under a Snow Emergency

The City of Decorah remains under a Snow Emergency through the end of the day on Wednesday.

City officials are reminding the public that ordinances require all vehicles be parked on the EVEN NUMBERED side of the street until snow is cleared from the odd numbered side.  When that happens, cars must be moved to the ODD NUMBERED side of the street until snow is cleared from the remaining half.  When both sides have been cleared, normal parking resumes.

Vehicles interfering with snow removal procedures can be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.  No street can be used for vehicle storage.  No vehicle can be parked for longer than 48 hours on city streets.  Violators can be ticketed and their cars impounded.
