Sheriff's Department serves arrest warrants

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department reports it served two separate arrest warrants recently.

On Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. 30-year-old Joshua Amunrud of Decorah was transported from the Allamakee County Jail to the Winneshiek County Jail.  Amunrud faces a probation violation warrant in Winneshiek County.

On Wednesday evening around 4:45, 26-year-old Javier Rosas of Postville was taken into custody on an arrest warrant from Wisconsin.  Rosas faces two charges in that state of Substantial Battery and Disorderly Conduct.  Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies took Rosas to the Allamakee County Jail, where Wisconsin authorities picked him up and took him back to Wisconsin.
