The Winneshiek County Conservation Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Supervisor's Boardroom on the second floor of the Courthouse.

In addition to reviewing the agency's  2016-2017 budget and discussing 2016 projects and grants, the board will vote on accepting a land donation from Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

INHF Blufflands Director Brian Fankhauser says the property is a 2.5 acre woodland tract along the Upper Iowa River adjacent to the county-owned Chimney Rock Park.  Fankhauser says the formal transfer of the property to Winneshiek County will probably take place in February.
