Ask Mr. Answer Person: How do rural Winneshiek County residents take that survey about Internet usage?"

(When decorahnews.com posted a news story earlier this month http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2016/01/12701.html quoting University of Iowa graduate students as lamenting that only 12 rural Winneshiek County residents had taken their Internet usage survey, decorahnews.com reader Dave accurately pointed out that information about how to contact the students was lacking.

decorahnews.com contacted Decorah City Administrator Chad Bird about Dave's comment.  Here's his response):

"We are working on a direct mail piece to rural addresses in the next few weeks.  While rural residents are able to access the link to the survey via Facebook or other methods, not many did or don't have access at all, that's the point.

So, look for a direct mail piece soon which will include a return envelope. We won't mail to all rural residents, just the random amount that we can afford.

Here is the (survey) link if you'd like to reference it again: https://goo.gl/pXXd0S
