Rebound Hospitality has won a Fairfield Inn and Suites license for its proposed new $11 million hotel in Decorah.

Rebound Enterprises official Brett Reese told decorahnews.com late Friday, "I am pleased to share that we received official notice from the Marriott Corporation that Rebound Hospitality has been awarded a Fairfield Inn and Suites on the Bluffs Inn site in Decorah."

The decision by Marriott will allow the motel project to go forward now.  Rebound will officially purchase the former Bluffs Inn property, with demolition beginning later this year.

Rebound Hospitality also owns the Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah, The Des Lux Hotel in Des Moines, Lost Lake Lodge in Lake Shore, Minnesota, and The Archer House River Inn in Northfield, MInnesota.  It says it will build a 78-room Fairfield Inn and Suites on the former Bluffs Inn property, as well as developing two additional commercial sites that could house restaurants or commercial offices.
