Two people arrested in Highlandville burglary

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says two people have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Highlandville.

The burglary took place around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the arrests made around two hours later on Old Stage Road.

35-year-old William Troxel of Decorah was arrested and jailed for 3rd Degree Burglary, 3rd or Subsequent Possession of Meth and 3rd or Subsequent Possession of Marijuana.  All three charges are Class D Felonies.

25-year-old Astyn Rouse of Ridgeway was arrested and jailed for 3rd Degree Burglary and Controlled Substance Violation-Marijuana with the intent to manufacture or deliver, both Class D Felonies, and for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth, a Serious Misdemeanor.
