The Iowa State Patrol says a two-vehicle crash on HIghway 63 in Chickasaw County Tuesday night killed three people and injured two.

Three of the people killed or injured were among those arrested January 6th by Decorah Police at WalMart in Decorah on charges of shoplifting and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

The State Patrol has identified the victims as 25-year-old Latorris Duffle of Longview, Texas; 25-year-old Devin Gordon of Greenville, South Carolina; and 29-year-old Keith Demry, who was not among those arrested at the Decorah Walmart and whose home town was not listed.

Injured in the accident were 26-year-old Shaun Anderson of Hobe Sound, Florida, who had been jailed in Decorah on charges of Theft and Possession of Marijuana; and 22-year-old Bertha Smith of Waterloo, who was not among those arrested at the Decorah Walmart.

The Iowa State Patrol says Smith failed to yield to a semi-trailer that was heading north on Highway 63 and pulled out from 240th Street, getting struck by the semi.
