Decorah surges into the lead in Midwest Magazine contest

Is Decorah the "Greatest Midwest Town?"  It might be given that title by Midwest Living magazine, based on on-line voting so far in a contest.

The magazine has selected towns from each of the 12 states in the Midwest.  Decorah was chosen the best town in Iowa.  Midwest Living will base its decision on the number of votes cast on-line in the contest.

As of late Sunday afternoon, Decorah was in first place with over 4,200 votes, leading Traverse City, Michigan by more than 700 votes.

The contest is being run at http://www.midwestliving.com/vote/  People can vote once a day every day from now until February 29th--so there's a long way to go before the contest ends.
